Self-Portrait Photography Abstracted

I have been working on some new self-portraits lately.  I really enjoy taking the digital photos to a realm of abstraction using textures. It gives the digital image a warmth that I usually only feed with film photography.  Both images were taken in a small apartment in Erlangen Germany.  The baptism photo was especially hard to capture since I didn’t have a remote camera shutter at the time.  Between getting wet and firing the digital timer by hand it was a difficult process.
